Our
history begins from 1917 whenthe first plant was formed on the base of
carriage and repairs workshops of the former brick factory. The first
production of the factory were fireproof cash machines and other consumer
goods, later on (in 1937) the release of sapper shovels, two-horse carriages,
horseshoes and horseshoe nails was mastered.
In 1943 plant was reorganized in "Metalplant". In 1958 the specified
factory was incorporated with "Metalworksplant" and became the
Factory of Agricultural Equipment. Primary output at that time were cogged
harrows and petroleum barrels with the capacity of 200 litres. In 1964
radiator workshop was added and factory was renamed in "Zdanov factory
of automobile spare parts and agricultural equipment". The factory
began to produce radiators for vans, three-ton platform scales, heavy
cogged harrows, agricultural pitchforks and spare parts for automobiles
and cogged harrows.
In 1968 two independent factories were created: Zdanov factory "Selmash"
and "Zdanov Radiator factory ".
"Selmash" existed till June 23, 1995, when it was reorganized
in the open joint-stock company "Mariupol experimental plant".
Nowadays open joint-stock company has mechanical, pitchfork, auxiliary
manufactures, advanced infrastructure of warehouse facilities.
Factory produces warehouse equipment, various machine-building equipment
and spare parts, pitchforks. The latter are exported to Turkey, Bulgaria,
Estonia, Russia, Belorus, Poland.
Primary directions of the enterprise development are the following: modernization
of pitchfork manufacture, expansion of the output production range, modernization
of power facilities, creation of the closed cycle with complete waste
utilization.
